Grand Re-Opening Week Highlights Completely Renovated Offices
To celebrate our newly renovated offices, we spent an entire week offering discounts and specials on designer frames while also giving away a few prizes! Daily trunk shows featured designer frames with 50% off all glasses and 25% off all sunglasses. With our newly expanded optical center, we displayed several new product lines including Cinzia, Eyes of Faith, Costa Del Mar, Smith Optics, Marc by Marc and many more. Each day, we held a drawing that gave the winning patient a $100 gift certificate for new glasses! And, we capped off the week by giving away a new iPad! Come see it all at our completely renovated offices and all new optical center.
Vision Screenings Given at Rosenfeld Einstein Health Fair
As part of Rosenfeld Einstein’s eight week health emphasis program, “Passport to Health Challenge”, Greenville EyeCare recently participated by giving employees a chance to screen their vision. This was an opportunity to learn more about vision exams and the importance of eye health. Vision screenings were performed to allow the Rosenfeld associates a quick evaluation of how well they are seeing at a distance with their current glasses, contacts or no corrective wear at all. Information about the Greenville EyeCare practice was distributed with ‘goody’ bags filled with cleaning supplies, a magnetic clip and an informational brochure on eye health.
Greenville EyeCare Supports JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes
The Greenville EyeCare team spent the month of October helping to wipe out diabetes in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF). Matching gifts were made to all who ‘bought’ a donation sneaker at the Greenville EyeCare office. All proceeds from the prize ticket sales were donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund. A special thank you to all of you who donated to JDRF through our office.
Upstate Women’s Show
Thanks to everyone who came to visit us at the recent Upstate Women’s Show! We cleaned eye glasses for free, gave away all kinds of freebies and met some wonderful people. We also had numerous visitors sign up for our InSights newsletter which is always a favorite read for our patients. Congratulations go to Becky Trotter of Spartanburg whose name was drawn as the winner of a stylish new pair of Liz Claiborne sunglasses! She looked great in them. Enjoy your new sunglasses, Becky!
Annual Blood Drive
Through the professional care of the experts from the Blood Connection, Greenville EyeCare recently sponsored another successful blood drive. The Blood Connection’s onsite donor mobile gave participants a convenient and comfortable place to donate. Considered the “gift of life”, donations can benefit up to 3 people who need blood in emergency situations, for illnesses or for surgery. Greenville EyeCare Associates is proud to sponsor these blood drives to make their contribution to the Greenville community.
Got Shade
The summer sunglasses sale in June gave many patients an opportunity to get some much needed shade with stylish and fashionable designer frames. Both prescription and non-prescription ‘shades’ were sought throughout the week long event. Patients chose from a wide selection of popular designer lines including Jimmy Choo, Valentino, Juicy Couture, Carrera, Banana Republic, Kate Spade, Nine West, Tura, Ted Baker and Fossil. Representatives from these lines were on hand to assist with selection and fitting needs. When you’re out and about in Greenville, you’ll see plenty of our patients sporting their new sunglasses and enjoying the shade!
Spring Trunk Show is Fresh
Our annual spring trunk show was held in March featuring a wide selection of designer frames that were 50% off for the event. With a theme of “Get a Fresh New Look This Spring”, the Greenville EyeCare office was decorated with bright, inviting colors, umbrellas and a delicious snack bar offered throughout the day. We also gave away tickets to Biltmore House and gift cards to Mimi’s Café. Trunk shows are always a favorite at Greenville EyeCare – don’t miss the next one!
Baby Shower Celebration
Heather Greene from our administration team was treated to a baby shower in anticipation of her new arrival. Plenty of practical gifts as well as a few ‘just for fun’ items were included. A few weeks after the shower, Heather gave birth to a healthy boy who they named Luke. The Greene’s are all doing great and enjoying this wonderful addition to their family.
MDA Lock-Up
Mary T. Johnson, our check out receptionist, recently participated in the MDA Lock-Up to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She was picked up on her lunch hour and taken to “jail” where she had to earn bail money for her release. Not to worry, the office was looking out for her! We raised a combined total of $328.00 dollars with patient and outside contributions. Once Mary gave her bail money, she was free to go. They even brought her back in a white stretch limo! Thanks Mary for your kind heart in helping out MDA “Jerry’s Kids.”
Christmas Party
We had our annual office Christmas party this year at the home of Doctor and Mrs. Weaver. We had great food from Rechauds Restaurant of Greer, and had tons of fun exchanging our secret pal gifts and playing a riveting game of Dirty Santa.
Tailgating Trunk Show
Our Tailgating Trunk Show and Cookout was a huge success. The patients as well as employees and doctors enjoyed the wide variety of frames to choose from, as well as the fun filled office. We had various games and drawings that day such as a football toss for frame discounts, and drawings for Clemson, USC, and Furman football tickets. All of the employees enjoyed dressing up in their favorite team shirts and painting their faces. The cookout was a tasty treat for all with Dr. Weaver behind the grill. Man, those hotdogs were good! Thank you to all of our patients who came out that day. If you missed it, don’t worry! We will have another trunk show soon and we will keep you posted as to when it will be.

We threw a surprise office appreciation party for Melissa Weaver, our lead technician. Melissa has been working for Greenville Eyecare for 10 years, and has brought to our office her warmth and care for our patients, her dedication to continual education to deliver the best Eyecare possible, and her spunky personality that we all know and love. If you have the pleasure of seeing her when you come into our office, she will brighten your day with her kind words and genuine concern. Thanks for 10 great years, we love you Mel!

Hawaiian Day
On July 17th we had an amazing summer sale! We offered our patients, as well as walk-in customers 40% off of sunglass frames! We deemed it “Hawaiian Day” and the whole office (even the doctors!) dressed in their best Hawaiian outfits. We hope to see you at the next one, Aloha!
Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism Open House
This lens is brand spanking new. We’re having an Open House in order to give our patients who previously have been unable to wear a contact lens due to their astigmatism the chance to try this new lens. Special discounts were given on the contact lens services and other products, including sunglasses. We raffled off 2 tickets to Six Flags and a year’s supply of this new lens.
