Greenville EyeCare Promotes May as Healthy Vision Month
Greenville EyeCare Associates, a provider of comprehensive eye healthcare services, is an active participant in Health Vision Month to drive consumer awareness about the importance of getting an annual eye exam. Healthy Vision Month is sponsored by the National Eye Health Education Program of the National Eye Institute (NEI) – an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
As a participant in this initiative during the month of May, Greenville EyeCare is stressing the criticality of eye exams that can help detect any problems and prescribe solutions that address vision issues. This includes diagnosis of impaired vision or eye disease along with management plans for proper eye care. Greenville EyeCare is also promoting the importance of eye protection from harmful UV sun rays during warm weather outdoor activity as well as proper eye protection for consumers who may be involved in hazardous situations when performing work in the yard, around the house or on special projects requiring eye safety.
“Statistics show there are millions of Americans living with impaired vision that has not been corrected,” says Katie Mendez, Office Manager for Greenville EyeCare Associates. “Annual eye exams play a key role in the early detection of eye disease and the prevention of future problems. Healthy Vision Month is a way for us to emphasize the importance of proper eye care not only within our local market, but as a participant with other providers affiliated with the National Eye Institute.”
